A generous donation allowed Big Love to purchase 23 dairy cows, transforming the farm into a beacon of hope. The dairy produced not only supports local employment but also feeds over 100 children daily at our children’s centres, providing the vital nutrition they need to thrive. Our vision is to grow the herd to 100 cows, enabling us to support more families and children while creating sustainable, long-term impact.
We’ve purchased silage for feeding and built a milking parlour, allowing us to milk 10 cows in just 12 minutes, greatly boosting production. Our cows are regularly checked by a specialist veterinary doctor to ensure their health. These donations have also allowed us to hire two full-time workers, providing stable jobs for local families, and purchase a butter machine, expanding our dairy production for a more sustainable income.
For just £25 a week, you can give a teenager the opportunity to work on the land, learning valuable skills while earning a wage. For £50 a week, you can support a local worker on the farm. With £100 a month, you can help grow fresh produce in the polytunnels, providing food for the community. Or, your faith group, business, or school could purchase a cow for £2,000, directly contributing to the farm’s future and helping feed over 100 children daily!
